Many magicians have no idea who actually invented the ubiquitous finger chopper. It was the genius magical inventor Edward Massey. It came about when Massey was preparing for a meal by chopping vegetables and he nicked himself on the finger. He said to his wife that wouldn’t be a great thing if you had a blade that could pass through a finger without cutting. He thought about the mechanics of such a blade and came up with what we now know to be the finger chopper. Massey sold the rights to make the chopper to Holden’s Magic Shop.
Over the years there have been countless copies, variations and interpretations of the finger chopper. This model is based in concept on the Thayer arm chopper. It features a rare extended stainless steel blade with Scimitar shape, beautifully finished mahogany wood and custom cast pewter feet on the handy base. It has been wonderfully engineered with clever and complicated internal mechanisms to make it operate flawlessly.
This impressive modern interpretation of the original Massey Finger Chopper stands almost 7 inches high and makes a grand impression when encountered. You will definitely enjoy performing this trick to astound audiences.
